Make your own shisha mirrors (just cut to shape with a pair of sharp paper scissors) or use as they are to give your textile projects some extra shine!
These pieces of glass are hand made mirror pieces from the Kutch region of Gujarat, India. The glass is blown into a balloon then broken up into smaller pieces so they do have a slight curve to them, they are not flat! The embroiderers cut them into small round mirrors using a sharp pair of paper scissors. The smaller the piece the flatter it will be.
Because they are hand made, the glass and the silvering on the back varies in texture and thickness. You will receive at least 10 grams (approximately 7-10 pieces) of glass pieces in various shapes, see photographs.
Warning: These are pieces of broken glass, therefore they are very sharp folks! Please be super careful when handling them and keep them sealed and out of reach of small persons in the storage pot they come in. You can clean up any really sharp edges with a pair of scissors or a nail file.
