Sarah has found a wonderful classroom in the forest; join her for a relaxing day of mindful stitching amongst the trees! You will make an embroidered textile using the forest for inspiration; layer fabric, work a variety of embroidery stitches and finish by wrapping your textile around a beautiful wooden bobbin. This class is suitable for all skill levels from beginners to those with lots of stitching experience, everyone is welcome!

Cost: £95.00

Included: All materials for the class; lunch of sandwiches, wraps, fruit and cake; tea and coffee and biscuits throughout the day and car parking!

Venue: Sherwood Pines Forest Classroom, Nottinghamshire, NG21 9JH, UK (Please note this isn’t Sherwood Forest! This is 2 miles away and is easy to visit from Sherwood Pines by car.)

The classroom is spacious and heated by a cosy wood burning stove if we need it and even comes with its own small area of forest! We will step out into this for half an hour so bring some suitable footwear and a coat! We will not be walking far, just a few steps and if the weather isn’t favourable Sarah will bring some of the forest indoors! There is accessible parking 200m from the classroom and accessible ramps into the classroom but please be aware the toilet is about 85m away and the pathways are not tarmacked although they are level. Please speak to Sarah if you have any concerns about this.

Getting there: Sherwood Pines is most easily accessed by car and there is parking within 200m of the classroom. If you wish to come by public transport, please contact Sarah before booking for more information on this.

*Please note, if strong winds are forecast occasionally the park is shut to ensure visitors safety. This can happen quickly and will mean we can’t access the classroom, so I will monitor any adverse weather conditions if they are forecast and make a decision if we need to postpone as soon as I can. An alternative date will be found and you can either transfer to that date or you will receive a full refund for the class.
